Use these tips and suggestions to help launch your fund-raising campaign:
TIP ONE:
Utilize your personalized ONLINE FUNDRAISING Web page
Online Fundraising is one of the easiest ways to do your fundraising. Create a list of family, friends co-workers etc. and e-mail your link inviting potential sponsors to make an online credit card contribution. Your friends, family and co-workers can learn about why you are participating and make a secure donation in just a click of a button. A recent study of 625 nonprofits showed that participants raised an average of $327 online versus an average of only $55 offline. TIP TWO:
Small things can make a big difference
Place your fundraising link on the signature line in your work and personal e-mails. By doing this, with no extra effort at all, every e-mail you send is another opportunity to fundraise and spread the word about your participation in the Disneyland® 1/2 Marathon, benefiting Special Olympics athletes!

TIP THREE:
Matching Gifts
Find out whether your company has a matching gift program. If so, your fundraising efforts could be doubled. Always remember to ask your sponsors whether their companies will match their donations as well.
TIP FOUR:
Businesses You Patronize
Ask the places you frequent, such as your hair stylist, dry cleaner, doctor, gym, coffee shop, favorite restaurant, etc. for a donation.
TIP FIVE:
Tear-away flyer
Post your fundraising link on a tear-away flyer in the break room at work with a picture connected to your cause. Your co-workers can tear off your Web address and go back to their desks to check out your efforts as well as donate to your cause.

run for Special Olympics athletes."
